There has been a stabbing. A young man has been killed and the main suspect is on the run, somewhere in Croydon. The police are holding a press conference that you have been invited to about the progress of their manhunt. The case seems straight-forward, but the motivations are anything but. Something dark and dangerous lurks beneath the surface. Scratch at that surface for long enough, and who knows what horrors may be uncovered.

 - - -

Land of Nod is part treasure hunt, and part theatrical adventure. Join the manhunt for a murderer in this interactive and immersive theatrical experience taking place across central Croydon, and play a part in the resolution of an ancient and horrific crime.

Developed with assistance from Croydon-based charities Lives Not Knives and Ment4, Land of Nod is based on the real-life experiences of those who have been affected by knife, gang and drug crime. Parabolic Theatre is a Croydon-based company, registered within the borough, with strong roots in the local community. Land of Nod is a part of the Croydonites festival, supported by Arts Council England, and the Croydon Council cultural partnership fund.

Please note that Land of Nod is a promenade performance, and audience members will be required to walk some distance to get the most out of the show. Comfortable footwear is strongly recommended. Audience members with impaired movement should contact Parabolic Theatre at to ensure suitable arrangements are in place for them to fully enjoy the experience.

Brilliantly immersive theatre with a shed load of stark realism and a touch of the supernatural. Highly recommended! Visited Matthews Yard on 2018-05-11

Really good show, with so much additional immersion than on the night. I went on a one2one two weeks before which lasted about 30 mins. It was a good base for the show. Others received mystery gifts and emails. The story is based on current issues but is also layered. It’s going to be further developed and will be back. I would recommend going if you enjoy real immersive theatre. Visited Matthews Yard on 2018-05-20

Superb night and great fun. Intriguing multi-layered story brought to life by great young actors. Excitingly immersive but also cleverly produced. @_Parabolic_ are one of London's most exciting up and coming immersive companies right now. Can't wait until the next one! Fun, exciting and subtlety affecting. Sometimes like I was walking through GTA (in the best possible way) and sometimes like I was lost in kind of dream. It's also starts and finishes at a great venue in the heart of new, cool, authentic Croydon. Tremendous. Couldn't recommend enough. Visited Matthews Yard on 2018-05-10

I went with my 15 year old son and we found it to be amazing evening. We had no idea what to expect. It was a very welcoming, inclusive, independent yet intimate experience. Our initial set of couples went out on their own ways to become fully immersed in the wonderful theatre yet our small group came together to feel like a wining team in the end! Absurdly amazing experience. DO GO!! Visited Matthews Yard on 2018-05-06

At Land Of Nod you just won’t k is what’s coming next. Everyone gets a one to one with a member of the cast, but when it will Come is a mystery. For me it was a phone call from a woman who I had to meet at a secret destination. She gave me a virtuoso performance that left me having experienced a unique journey into the dark world of Nod. The finale of a feedback session with all the audience gave us all different pieces of a puzzle that left us with some answers but plenty of questions. The evening was quite an experience! Have been to Morning Star and Keep Calm And Carry On and had such fun. The professionalism and detail is fantastic and the performances drew me in. I also like that you can choose how much to be involved, so its good for the fanatics and also the sceptics. I am fairly new to immersive theatre, but am hooked on Parabolic's shows. Saw the last piece by Parabolic @COLAB, it was some of the best immersive/interactive theatre I've experienced in this city. Can't wait for this show, I know it was a massive hit during its initial run. Well done for relaunching - strapped in for the ride!
